For writers, makers, and anyone with ideas to tend.
A local-first notebook for the half-formed. Type to find any note instantly, or press return to plant a new one. Tend a note and it grows and takes root; leave one untouched and it quietly wilts. A glance tells you what's thriving and what's drifting away.
Every note sorts itself into a living stage based on how you tend it. The color shifts as you work, so a glance across the garden tells you what's thriving and what needs you.
Your notes are plain-text files, either .txt or .md, in a garden folder you choose. Open them in any editor, search them with any tool, sync them however you like. Local-first, no account, nothing leaves your Mac.
And when an idea is ready to travel, export a single note or several merged together as TXT, Markdown, PDF, or Word.
Some ideas are ready to become something. When a cluster of seeds wants structure, Transplant sends a note, or a whole multi-selection, straight onto an Espalier board as cards.
Capture loosely here; arrange it into shape there. Two halves of one motion: ideas begin in Seed and grow up in Espalier.
Seed is out. Plant the first thing on your mind.
